Test Manager
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Test Manager based in London for an initial 10-month contract.

The Test Manager will set out and manage the delivery of the test/acceptance strategy for executing the Project test phase.
The role will require an approach that is driven by Technology/Infrastructure/Data Modelling Environment owner needs and the requirement to work with both local teams and global teams.
The person will report to the Head of QA within the Technology pillar whilst also partnering with Dev Leads, their technical teams and escalating any issues through the governance process.
Success in the role will be partnering with the environment owners to ensure they are ready to accept the Test plan, a plan is in place to support the switch to the hosted environment and that there are clear ‘go/no-go’ criteria developed and met to ensure a successful switch over.
It is also key to ensure that the readiness plan is reviewed to ensure it is realistic in terms of pre-launch, launch and post-launch activity.
Key Outcomes:
- Define/Lead the Testing / business readiness and completion of the Hosting Project
- Collaboratively work with Product Owners on the successful implementation of the Hosted environment
- Define and implement the key acceptance phase of the switch over
- Validate Environment use cases.
- E2E platform validation of the hosted platform functionally and for performance
- Alignment with external teams to validate the hosted platform capability against all defined requirements.
- Work collaboratively across different areas, balancing competing priorities and managing relationships with a range of internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure delivery of key priorities.
Capabilities:
- Work in partnership with stakeholders to ensure all change components and tasks are validated and accepted.
- Use existing toolsets to use and validate all provisioned environments.
- Engage with the environment owners to understand specific requirements ensuring ongoing alignment to address evolving needs.
- Ensure acceptance is delivered in an integrated way in accordance with the agreed change approach.
- Define, refresh and implement the overall test plan covering pre-go-live, go-live and post go-live periods.
- Work with leadership team to discuss and mitigate risks.
Technical Stack:
- Extensive experience of ADO or similar SDLC tools such as JIRA
- Automation tools e.g. Selenium / JMETER
- Understanding of Data Modelling tools and processes
Desirable skills requirements:
- Extensive Test management delivery in similarly complex environments
- Very good understanding and experience of test management delivery and approaches, ideally, as part of an IT or Infrastructure programme
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills to deal with a diverse stakeholder group.
- Strong project and programme management skills and capabilities to manage and control test deliverables.
- Experience of working in complex, cross-boundary environments
- Solid understanding of programme governance, reporting and KPIs
- Excellent experience of working in partnership at all levels of an organisation
- Strong influencing and collaboration skills developed working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong and independent judgement
- Good experience of test impact assessment and test readiness assessments
- Experience of a range of test approaches and how they can be applied to meet the programme needs.
