Richmond Theatre, designed by Frank Matcham, opened in 1899 and continues to attract first-class companies and famous names including Andrew Scott, Jonathan Pryce, Sir Ian McKellen, and comedians such as Jimmy Carr, Nina Conti, and Al Murray. We are primarily a playhouse but also host musicals, comedy, ballet, opera and pantomime across the year. The venue has also been featured in many a TV and film production including, Downton Abbey, Ted Lasso, and Killing Eve - to just name a few! 2024 marks the venues 125th Anniversary, and alongside the rich venue history and programming mix, we also offer a Creative Learning programme and local events for the community of Richmond and beyond.

The Theatre Manager is an imperative part of the Senior Management Team, working closely with the venues Head's of Departments as well as reporting to and deputising for the Theatre Director. Responsible for the overall operation of the building, including risk management, administration compliance and delivering impeccable experiences for both our patrons and producers alike. We are looking for a driven individual who works collaboratively to achieve high standards and targets, with the drive to exceed expectations and fully embrace all opportunities on the horizon within this iconic theatre.
