About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Theatre Nurse / ODP to join a highly reputable and dynamic Private Hospital based in Portsmouth, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Scrub Nurse / ODP to join their friendly theatre team on a permanent basis. The hospital prides itself in the high quality of care that they provide and offers a range of services including consultations and diagnosis, personalised treatments and aftercare. The hospital has recently opened a new minor operations suite and are looking for passionate Scrub Nurses / ODP's to work in general, orthopaedic and day case scrub.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Scrub Nurse / ODP as part of our theatre team and will be responsible for:
- Scrub for a range of consultant led surgeries including orthopaedics, cosmetics, gynae, ENT and many more
- Develop care plans taking into consideration the care pathway, perioperative risks and the patients well-being
- Support in assessing patients health and well being
- Actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements
Who we're looking for
- Be NMC / HCPC registered - your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
- At least 2 years scrub experience in the UK
- Orthopaedic experience highly desirable
- Able to showcase excellent patients care
- Strong communication skills
- Flexible and eager to learn
