The successful applicant will be joining a forward thinking, dynamic team who work closely with our experienced consultants. We have a varied scrub team consisting of band 2s/4s/5s and 6s who work together with our general/Gynae/Orthopaedic and Urology teams.

Be visible and accessible in the clinical area for patients, relatives, and staff
Lead by example by adhering to and implementing all policies and standard operating procedures, acting as a role model, taking responsibility for own professional development, and supporting a named team
Provide leadership that promotes patient centred care
Assist in maintaining an environment conducive to education, teaching, audit, and training, maintaining an ethos of evidenced based practice
Provide clinical leadership and management of staff ensuring the delivery of the highest professional standards through staff development and individual performance appraisal/review
Uphold standards of care and expected behaviours in accordance with the Trusts Values
Assist the Senior Team in supporting and contributing to agreed developments within the Business Group
Identify equipment priorities to support the care of patients and staff in their physical environment, undertaking risk assessments as required/directed
Ensure the efficient use of resources, monitoring quality and expenditure
Attend monthly team meetings and ensure staff in your team are managed effectively within the policies/SOPs at SHH.

- Act as Deputy Theatre Coordinator reporting to the Senior Team/Theatre Coordinator, coordinating the activities of the theatre department, inclusive of satellite clinical areas
- Deploy resources effectively to meet the needs of patients within the perioperative environment
- To effectively co-ordinate care to ensure a seamless and timely pathway of care for patients
- To be a visible and accessible presence in the clinical area for patients, relatives, and staff
- Lead by example and act as a positive role model taking responsibility for own professional
