Housing Officer – Part time

 

Cumbernauld based with a balance of home and office working – Covering patches in Edinburgh and Cumbernauld

 

£16,892 - £17,781 per year

 

18.75 hours per week

 

We have an opportunity for a Housing Officer to join our team based in Cumbernauld. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that high quality housing management services are delivered to our residents with a focus on making a real difference to their lives.

 

This is a varied role that will see you managing a range of situations and helping to build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, whilst working in a professional manner to resolve problems and improve services.

 

The role of Housing Officer will include:

  • Delivering a high quality housing management service to tenants, partners and key stakeholders
  • Allocating void and new let properties and dealing with rent arrears
  • Investigating and resolving anti-social behaviour cases
  • Completing estate management weekly inspections
  • Identifying shortfalls in service delivery and putting plans of resolution into place
  • Ensuring compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements for all housing management activities

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience of undertaking a similar role within housing
  • Knowledge of relevant housing regulations and legislation
  • Proven experience of delivery high quality tenancy services
  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to implement solutions
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office packages is essential 
  • SVQ3 in relevant area or equivalent qualification
  • Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential

The full time equivalent salary for this role is £33,785 based on 37.5 hours per week rising to £35,563 after 12 months service and subject to satisfactory performance
