Reward Specialist

 

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

 

£53,994 to £56,836 per year

 

35 hours per week

 

Due to progression within the team, Sanctuary Group have an opportunity for a talented Reward Specialist to join our Reward function, within the HR Team, to work across all aspects of pay and recognition.  Reporting into the Reward Manager you will be responsible for developing and delivering relevant pay strategies that address the needs of your nominated business areas, ensuring alignment to our values and current and future business strategy.

 

As one of three Reward Specialists you will be reviewing, building on and developing new pay arrangements for your nominated business areas, which include Care and Students. Coming up with innovative ways to balance the pressures of ensuring our reward arrangements help to attract and engage high quality staff; are compliant and respond to the changing needs of a growing business, in an affordable way.

 

The role of Reward Specialistwill include:

  • Undertake pay planning, design and delivery for nominated business areas, ensuring affordability, business buy-in and effective risk management
  • Delivering robust end-to-end reward processes, measuring their effectiveness and proposing changes where required, including executing the annual pay review cycle
  • Working with HR colleagues you will deliver the reward aspects of restructures and TUPE transfers ensuring the successful integration and application of new arrangements
  • Operating an effective framework to underpin reward and recognition decisions, whilst incorporating best practice and latest thinking as appropriate
  • Building positive, effective working relationships with colleagues to deliver coherent, risk managed reward and recognition activity and ensure policies, processes and plans are operated appropriately
  • Understanding the impact of legislation and external influences that impact on Reward, identify data trends, patterns, issues and key messages including Gender Pay and Equal Pay reporting, analysis and interpretation

 

Skills and experiences:

  • A proven track record within a similar Reward role with the ability to demonstrate practical experience of developing innovative pay structures and solutions, ideally in a low pay and/or Group setting and implementing these effectively
  • Experience of managing the integration of TUPE transfers and new business
  • Demonstrable experience of managing pay risk in a multi-business environment
  • Practical experience of developing proposals and implementing annual pay processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt and effectively communicate and build influential relationships with stakeholders and employees at all levels
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail and strong excel skills
  • Experience of working in roles where you were required to make pragmatic, decisions that positively impact the business
  • Experience of job evaluation methodologies, ideally Korn Ferry
