Following an internal promotion, we are looking for an insightful and strategic thinker to join Sanctuary Care as Senior Contracts and Partnership Officer. Through proactive activity, this role will build and further strengthen our relationships with a portfolio of Local Authorities (LAs), NHS trusts (CCGs) and Integrated Care boards (ICBs). Through contract management this role will optimise both the opportunities and risks within our Contracts and will achieve even stronger long term mutually beneficial partnerships.
The role of Senior Contracts and PartnershipsOfficer will:
- Develop the partnerships of key LAs/CCGs and ICBs through a contract management programme. To include: Regular contract reviews and associated external meetings, supporting Sanctuary Care stakeholders to deliver against Contracts and their Key Performance Indicators, contract documentation evaluation, negotiation of contract terms, bid management, (document completion, method statements), participate in contract implementation and on-going management of the contract.
- Work to contract or bid deadlines by reviewing and monitoring contracts. Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, procurement processes.
- Identify and analyse issues with Contracts and associated processes, highlighting areas of risk and opportunity, recommending solutions to support business changes and developments. Ability to present findings to all levels, including Senior Management Team.
- Build, use and maintain effective systems, databases and processes that enable the accurate recording of information, ensuring they are as user friendly and accessible as possible.
- Create, maintain and co-ordinate the dissemination of contractual information and documentation with internal and external partners, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately.
- Manage/co-ordinate and complete tenders and bids for external organisations either through the usage of portals or directly with partners and renew and evaluate the clauses of new contracts to ensure they are reasonable and commercially viable.
- Support and deliver best practice initiatives through research, providing business insights, continuous monitoring and process improvements.
- Manage the recruitment, performance and development of quality staff to ensure required skilled staff are available to meet business needs.
- Contribute, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group's values and objectives.
Skills and experiences –
- Good evidence of strategic thinking
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, good communication in spoken and written English
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Able to interrogate and interpret complex business information from Contracts and related documentation
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel
- Working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation, and current practice
- Working knowledge of the contract management / processes
- Previous experience in contract and account management, working on bids and tenders
- Proven experience in analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- Experience of managing 3rd party suppliers and stakeholders
