Senior Support Worker
Granby Street, Ely
£12.90
30 hours per week
We’re looking for a Specialist Project Worker to join our team at Granby Street. You’ll be working in partnership with the Local Service Manager to deliver excellent outcome-focused support.

The role of Senior Support Worker is referred to internally at Sanctuary, as Specialist Project Worker.
The role of Senior Support Worker will include:
- To work closely with the local authority and other partners to ensure the customers receive the appropriate support required
- To ensure the smooth daily running of the service at all times and to promote the service effectively to others
- Working closely with staff and clients to deliver a high quality, intensive housing management
- Overseeing and monitoring the quality of risk tools, assessments, and referrals
- Liaising with staff and customers with a focus on maintaining licences and move on objectives
- Promoting safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments to support, reduce or eliminate risks
- Completing and monitoring health and safety checks within the service
- Recording information daily and inter-agency records
- Local out of hours on call 1 week in 5 covering all services
Skills and experiences:
- Previous housing related support is essential
- NVQ3 in Health & Social Care is desirable
- Strong communication skills and experience of working with vulnerable people
- Sound knowledge of housing management including rents, tenancies and health and safety
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
- The ability to work on your own initiative
- The ability to react effectively under pressure
- Travel is a requirement of the role; therefore, a full valid driving licence is essential
