The Team
The role will be joining the newly formed Technology division, comprising teams who look after core technology functions for the University.
The Role
The Tooling Solutions Architect proactively and holistically leads and supports enterprise architecture activities that guide the development and management of the tools we use within IT at the University. The role will help ensure incoming tooling technology is delivered effectively and look to the future for new innovations. The role will be part of the Technology Leadership Group and work alongside other specialist architect roles and delivery teams.
The Tooling Solutions Architect will be a key member of the divisional leadership team, providing strategic direction, anticipating challenges, driving performance, and building the capability required to ensure secure and robust technical solutions and supporting infrastructure.
The Person
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of design & implementation of IT tools and technologies.
- Have experience with service now, Intune, JAMF and other key technologies.
- Product exploration & evaluation.
- Ability to lead both technical & non-technical meetings and discussions.
- Be able to work with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Understanding of secure by design principles.
