Salary: 22,000 - 27,000 (Totally Depending on Experience)

Monday - Friday only.

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a high calibre Trade Counter Sales Person to join the team of Hymor Timber, part of Arnold Lavers and National Timber Group - a leading timber supplies / timber merchants, working out their successful branch in Stoke.

The right candidate will ideally be well versed in dealing with trades sales within a timber merchants, builders merchants, construction sales, building materials, trade sales environment. Some form of sales or customer service experience within timber merchants, builders merchants, construction sales / trade sales background would be a great interest.

This role is a great chance for someone who is keen to learn and develop within a business who will offer them the opportunities to do so. Industry experience is preferable however we will also look at a strong customer service and sales background.

Duties will include:

• Serving trade, trade cash and public at Trade Counter efficiently and courteously
• Working pro-actively within the customer service team
• Escalating customer service issues to Customer Service Manager and ensuring resolution
• Liaising with company management to support and implement growth strategies
• Ensuring best service levels for all Company customers through all locations
• Controlling and maintaining your allocated customer accounts
• Increasing the number of trading customer accounts and ensuring that this business grows
• Ensuring that all customers trade within their agreed credit terms and resolving queries in order to ensure prompt payment
• Participating in external/internal staff meetings as required

Working hours, Benefits and Salary:

• Full time position, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm
• Christmas and New Year shut down
• 6 weeks holiday per year including the public bank holidays, increasing to 6.6 weeks after 2 and 5 years' service

We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants with experience in the Timber Merchants/Builders Merchants/Construction Sales/Trade Sales industry, however training is available for the right candidate.
