About the role
- Manage and motivate local store team to assist in meeting the business targets
- Providing knowledgeable product and service advice to customers face-to-face and via phone / email
- Driving forward sales and ensuring the continued success of the branch
- Identify opportunities in which to up/cross sell a sale with new/additional products and services e.g., profitable servicing, repair & hire service from the centre, PPE, etc.
- Manage a stock holding of bestselling lines to achieve specific targets.
- Forklift Truck handling competencies/certification – training can be provided if required
The right candidate
- Previous experience in a similar role in retail – assistant manager, team leader, supervisor or manager
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- A good level of physical fitness and manual handling skills
- Excellent face to face selling and negotiating skills
- IT literate
