About this opportunity
This role is for the Assistant Traffic Management Technician to be based in County Hall, Kendal covering the South Lakeland locality of the Council.
As part of the Traffic Management Team this role will include being assisting with the preparation, design and processing of temporary and permanent traffic regulation schemes (including works tickets for road safety and casualty reduction, parking and small-scale Traffic Management schemes), assisting with the public and stakeholders and working with colleagues within the highways service.

This is a predominantly office-based role with some site visits, and we are looking for an organised and enthusiastic person who is a team player.
The post is public facing, and the candidate should have good communication / person / written skills and be able to work in a team environment.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, have excellent customer service skills and a flexible approach.
