Trainee Accountant

Grafton Banks Finance Ltd is pleased to be working with a successful and well known business in Maidstone recruiting for a Trainee Accountant to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to progress through AAT or ACA/ACCA studies within a exciting team. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Daily banking – on a rota basis.
• Maintain accurate and real time document archiving.
• Accounts Payable – assist with account reconciliation, invoice and payment processing, and related administration.
• Purchase Requisition Control reconciliations.
• Accounts Receivable – assist with account reconciliation, remittance processing and related administration.
• Raise adhoc payments on request.
• Bank reconciliations and journal processing.
• Company expense analysis.
• Assist with compilation of required documents for the year-end audit files.
• Responsible for stationery - stock control and ordering and processing of departmental requests.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• BSc Finance & Accountancy (or similar) graduate (2022 or 2023), ideally with some work experience within finance.
• Alternatively, studying towards AAT. 
• Driver with access to a car.
• Eager to study towards ACA/ACCA.
