Management Accountant

Location - Hythe, Kent

Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE

Our client, a worldwide leader in their field, is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. Our client offers a host of benefits, a great working environment, excellent career progression and exciting project opportunities for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Preparing sales reports
• Calculating commissions and bonuses
• Ensuring accounting entries are posted to the correct ledgers and details
• Be involved in performing checks on sales pricing and reporting on margins for accuracy and detail
• Analysing departmental spending against budgets
• Assisting with annual forecasting and financials for business plans
• Carrying out the posting of journals at month-end
• Maintaining reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
• Overseeing the management accounts for the Dubai office and providing commentary on results
• Supporting external audits and providing information to the audit team
• Managing company vehicles and maintaining insurance and toll accounts
• Assisting with the production of VAT returns
• Overseeing the purchase ledger, adhering to cut-off dates, and posting accruals
• Producing ad-hoc reports as requested by managers or business leaders
• Providing holiday cover for the finance department

Skills and Experience

• Preferably ACCA/CIMA qualified but not essential
• Must have an understanding, knowledge, and previous experience in management accounting up to trial balance
• Must be competent in IT skills, especially with MS Office
• Must have a high level of accuracy in details
• Essential you are an analytical thinker
• Must hold strong communication skills both verbal and in written form
