My client is a hugely successful and prestigious firm of Chartered Accountants with offices near Tunbridge Wells who are recruiting for a Trainee Accountant to join their Accounts and Tax team. This is a sought-after opportunity for a positive and hardworking individual to gain exposure in all areas of Accounts and Tax within one of the most respected firms in the area.
As a Trainee Accountant you will have the opportunity to work in all areas of Accountancy while studying for your AAT and then ACA/CTA qualification. Full support and training will be provided as part of the role and in return you will be required to combine work and study to successfully work through your qualification.
You will provide support to the team in a number of areas, including;
- Client bookkeeping and VAT return work;
- Preparing management accounts and then statutory accounts;
- Preparation of personal, partnership, trust and corporation tax returns;
- Preparation of payroll documents;
- Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required;
- General office administration

To be considered for this Trainee Accountant role you will be a recent graduate with a 2:1 or 1st Degree – in any subject but ideally you will combine this with a Maths A-level at B grade or above.
Due to the location of the offices a driving licence and car is essential.
