Job description

Purpose of the Role:


To competently follow a predefined training program, enabling the trainee to learn, practice and build competency in delivering products to the standards and specifications expected by McLaren Applied and our customers.


Role Dimensions:


The trainee programme is a staged development process for a minimum of 18 months, comprising of a dual approach between internal and external training programmes. Learn and progress your skill sets over the training course to manufacture sub-assemblies and units to IPC class 3 or higher. Once you have successfully completed the training programme you will be a certified Build Technician.


Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:


  • Good GCSE grades or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • A generally inquisitive nature, interested in how things work and how they are constructed.
  • An interest in Motorsport, Automotive or Communications industries would be an advantage
  • Good communicator with Basic PC skills.
  • A positive outlook, eager to gain knowledge and self improve.
  • Good time management.
  • Good attention to detail to allow you to maintain or exceed high levels of production standards and efficiency.
  • Calm and composed in moments of pressure
  • Ability to fully contribute to the process of continuous improvements.
