Form of workWe are on the lookout for a Trainee Finance Assistant to join a reputable organisation with headquarters based in Lichfield. Reporting to the Finance Manager the Trainee Assistant Accountant will gain full training, with a succession plan in place to become a Management Accountant! Salary up to £23,000 per annum + AAT study support.
This role would suit a recent school leaver, or someone who has started studying their AAT!
Your Role: As a Trainee Finance Assistant, you'll be an integral part of the finance department, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to the financial success of the organisation. You'll have access to a structured development plan designed to accelerate your growth in the field of finance within a fast paced working environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Trainee Finance Assistant
- Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Analyse financial data and trends to support decision-making processes.
- Participate in the development of financial strategies to optimise operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information.
- Contribute to the maintenance of accurate accounting records.
- Learn and utilise financial software systems to manage data efficiently.
- Adhoc responsibilities including credit control, posting invoices etc.
Skillset required:
- Strong analytic and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude.
