Trainee Greenkeeper

We are looking for a TraineeGreenkeeper to join our team at Dundonald Links in Irvine, Ayrshire. Hourly rate of £9.06

This is a permanent position to work part time hours. This will be 20 across 2.5 various days which will include early mornings and bank holidays.

Flexibility is essential to suit the needs of the business.

About The Role

Main responsibilities:

The successful Trainee Greenkeeper will

• Assist with the upkeep of the golf course.
• Assist with renovation projects and attend planned daily maintenance tasks.
• Complete any necessary paperwork following repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure the driving range is kept clear and tidy.
• Assist the grounds team to ensure the appearance of the retreat is kept up to its five star standard.
• Have use of ride on machinery and hand tools.
• Assist with hedge cutting, weeding, turfing and seedbed establishment.

Requirements:

Excellent customer service and strong communication skills are essential for this role. A driving licence and the ability to drive is essential for this role due to the use the site buggies / vehicles.

• Right to Live and work in the UK
• Positive work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills
• A driving licence and the ability to drive is essential for this role due to the use the site buggies / vehicles.

• Previous greenskeeping experience is preferred
