Trainee Legal Cashier

A great opportunity has arisen to join an accredited Legal Practice as a permanent Trainee Legal Cashier.

This is an entry level role and although some previous accounting experience is desirable it is not essential as internal training will be offered for all aspects of the tasks assigned.

Duties will include:

• Electronic payments and receipts.
• Cheque and cash payments and receipts
• Freelancer/Consultant Invoices
• Creditor invoices
• Unpaid disbursements
• Banking of cash and cheques
• Staff expenses
• Coding invoices
• Inter account transfers
• Payment runs
• Any other ad hoc duties as and when requested.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:

• High level of numeracy
• Good telephone manner
• Good IT skills
• Experience of using Partner for Windows (PW4) advantageous but not essential
• Strong and clear communication skills both verbal and written
• Attention to detail
• Organised and methodical approach to work
• Reliability
• Ability to perform set tasks with minimal supervision.
• The ability to work co-operatively with other team members.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm with 1 hour for lunch. 24 days annual leave.
