Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Trainee Print Operative to join our team as we accelerate our early-stage growth. Previous industry or printing experience is not required for this role as full training will be offered to the successful candidate, however, some level of digital fluency with applications such as photoshop, coral or Illustrator would be an advantage (but not required). The most important factor that must be shown by the successful candidate is a positive attitude towards work, and willingness to embrace the learning curve.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the fundamentals of the latest technology within the branding industry. Each skill you learn relating to this technology enhances your value to us (ShirtPrint) and the branding industry. As a result, rewards (monetary or non-monetary) will be allocated in direct proportion to the skills you learn, as well as your attitude towards work.

Responsibilities:

• Managing job sheets
• Operating several different machines, including heat presses, heat tunnels, and digital printers
• Operating software
• Management of consumable stock
• Maintaining filing systems

Noteworthy points:

• This role is requires the candidate to work 5 dayshifts per week (9am-5pm)
• The role initially starts at minimum wage, with opportunity for advancements as experience is gained. Since we are a small company, there is opportunity for significant advancement in other areas of the company as we grow larger (provided the candidate displays the desired traits of a higher role)
• This role is not customer facing (doesn't matter if you are a little shy!)
• This role will bring out the best in the right candidate
• The only requirement is a strong work ethic and a great attitude

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £7.50-£11.50 per hour
