Opportunity for a Trainee Project Lead in the Cumberland Council’s Capital Programme
The Capital Programme team, in the Council’s Programme Management Office, is looking for a Trainee Project Lead to support a range of exciting projects. This role represents an opportunity to grow your project management skills and experience in a supportive and dynamic working environment.
The Capital Programme Team is responsible for the delivery of £100m+ of work annually. Working with experienced project managers, you will engage with stakeholders across communities, council directorates and partner organisations. You will be making a real difference by helping to deliver highway improvements, public realm schemes and cycling/walking infrastructure, as well as a wider range of potential projects in future. This could involve developing business cases, procuring and manage contracts, developing plans and managing construction projects.
We are looking for candidates with an understanding of project management, some practical experience and a willingness to develop their skills while contributing to the team.
