An exciting opportunity has become available for a Trainee Projects Officer to join our Land Management team and contribute to a range of interesting and varied environmental land management projects.

The Countryside and Rights of Way Service works in partnership with private landowners, communities and other local authorities to develop and deliver projects that enhance the environment for people and wildlife. Our Land Management team has a broad project portfolio encompassing woodLand Management, heathland restoration, chalk river restoration and developing old railway lines as active travel routes.
You will have studied or volunteered in similar areas and will be able to demonstrate your commitment to a career in countryside management, greenspace development or delivery of green infrastructure. You will now be aiming to develop your professional expertise and competence in Land Management.
You will be able to work in an organised and professional manner, learning from more experienced colleagues and developing skills quickly to make a meaningful contribution to our goals.
A full current driving licence is essential, and you will be expected to work in rural locations with difficult terrain.
