We are recruiting a Trainee Stock Controller for material handling site based in Garforth, Leeds.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain on the job experience while also obtaining a qualification and the chance of a permanent job once the apprenticeship is completed.
Dawsongroup material handling is part of the UK’s largest asset rental company Dawsongroup plc and leading provider of material handling equipment.
As the Stock Controller you will learn how to:
- Ensure that inventory levels are constantly reviewed and monitored including depot stock, engineers van stocks and impressed stocks
- Take verbal and written parts requests from the service desk team, workshop and field service engineers
- Purchase components as necessary to support the maintenance and repair of the fleet
- Check, code and authorise invoices prior to final payment approval and to process all invoices to meet reporting deadlines
- Ensure all parts stocks are properly received, allocated and securely stored
- Ensure accurate documentation regarding stocks and the supply of parts
- Ensure that parts areas are kept clean and tidy
- Monitor non-moving items and ensure obsolete stock is removed from depot and van stocks and returned to the supplier for credit
- Undertake stock checks
- Provide parts assistance by way of parts books and other reference systems
- Process field service engineers job sheets, ensuring that all parts are reconciled to the maintenance order and to deal with any queries
- Process returns including warranty returns and ensure that accurate records are kept
