Children and Young People’s Psychological Service (CYPPS) Blackpool is looking to recruit a Trainee Systemic Family Practitioner. This post is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major national initiative, which is fundamentally changing the way in which psychological treatments are provided in the NHS in England.
The successful applicant will work within CYPPS Blackpool to deliver high quality, outcome and evidence based interventions for children and young people whilst undertaking a programme of training specific to Systemic Family Practice. Three days per week will be clinical, two days a week will be training.
Applicants for this programme need to have: -
• Qualification at degree level
• Core mental health profession or KSA equivalence – seeKnowledge Skills and Attitudes (babcp.com)for further details
• Significant experience of working in specialist children’s mental health services

Applicants need to be able to start the Post Graduate training programme taught academic dates in January 2024 and commit to attendance at all university based taught and self-study days required by Manchester University.You will work in the service for the remaining days of the week using your newly developed skills to ensure you gain the necessary clinical practice hours to fulfil the academic programme. This is 200 hours of modality and case specific practice for the full time courses.
