AddressOur very well-established client operates in the Insurance Sector and due to expansion are looking for a Trainee Underwriter to support their commercial underwriting team. For the right individual training and potential career progression will be provided.

Job specification:
- Preparing New Business enquiries prior to submission to underwriters
- Reviewing completed quotation requests and providing feedback to brokers and underwriters as necessary
- Liaising with brokers in terms of coverage and pricing
- Dealing with background checks, payment by instalment enquiries, updating policies records
- Assisting with claims enquiries
- Answering phone calls and assisting with enquiries
- Carrying out Sanction Search checks
- Administration of Premium Credit instalment requirements
- Managing own workload of New and Existing Business cases as well as mid-term adjustments subject to agreed levels of authority
- Assisting with general administration as required
- Adherence to compliance and regulatory procedures
Person specification:
- An understanding of the commercial insurance market advantageous, otherwise a keen interest to build a career within insurance.
- Have the ability to develop effective personal relationships, (Internal & External)
- Organised, disciplined, driven and structured in all that you do.
- Prioritise competing tasks independently and have excellent communication skills

- Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing to 25 with service)
