Our client is looking for a motivated Training and Compliance Manager to design, lead and deliver our training programmes for their care colleagues. The role will also lead with the organisation’s overall compliancy in accordance with governing bodies requirements including the regulations around Health & Safety.
Job Description:
- Review all policies alongside the Head of Care Operations & Registered Manager
- Ensure that all company policies and procedures are up to date and understood by the organisation
- Oversee Health & Safety of the organisation following policies and advice provided by our consultant/indemnity provider
- Ensure service development plan is up to date and used as a working document
- Review audit findings and update service development plan accordingly
- Provide reports for the Quality Assurance and Compliance committee
- Control training compliance spreadsheet to ensure compliancy across the organisation
- Monitor and report on progress of training statistics within the organisation
- Monitor and report on compliance related concerns to the Head of Care Operations and Registered Manager
- Manage complaints and compliments log
- Complete themed audits using audit and compliance system
- Manage and utilise compliance and audit system effectively
- Overall management of new training helpdesk
- Assess the training needs of the care team and create training plans accordingly
- Design training courses, maintaining up to date legislative input
- Design and deliver engaging interaction training sessions using a variety of method, such as workshops, training sessions and competency assessments
- Deliver specialist training sessions i.e. EPI-pen, PEG feeding, Oxygen etc
- Manage NVQ/QCF diplomas sign ups/completion and communications with learner’s fund
- Update Workforce Development Fund (WDF) online portal with changes to staffing
Person Specification:
- Training qualification (Award in Education and Teaching – AET)
- Care Certificate and knowledge of CQC regulations and Health Care Act.
- Occupational experience of working in Health & Social Care
- Detailed knowledge of all mandatory subjects in Health & Social Care
- Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety regulations and policies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards
- Proven experience of carrying out audits and competency checks
- Good knowledge around education pathways for care support staff
