In a nutshell
In this pivotal position, you will collaborate closely with our Corporate Finance colleagues to deliver advisory services to our well-established portfolio of large corporate clients and private equity houses.
You’ll join a cohesive and diverse team of 130 professionals who are spread across our nine offices. Working together, the team undertakes engaging and impactful work daily, benefiting from the guidance and support of our 13 experienced Tax Partners.

What you'll be doing day to day
Working across a range of advisory work, you’ll support directors and partners in delivering unique projects. What you’ll get involved in:
- Scoping and pricing new projects
- Preparing risk assessments to identify key tax issues
- Liaising with clients and engagement teams to understand and document legal, accounting and commercial background to engagements
- Drafting and reviewing tax advice
- Seeking clearances and advance assurance from HMRC
- Reviewing transaction documents for consistency
- Reviewing tax deeds and warranties in transaction documents
- Reviewing target company information and preparing transaction due diligence reports
- Liaising with non-UK firms in the PKF network to obtain input on international tax projects and preparing advice on the impact of UK and non-UK taxes
- Providing coaching to junior members of staff
About you
With the following you’ll deliver high quality services to our diverse client portfolio:
- Significant experience of tax with a focus on company and shareholder taxation, structuring and transactions
- Excellent technical tax knowledge
- CTA qualification, ACA or ACCA an advantage
- Experience of working within practice, with the competence to deal with managing a portfolio of assignments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven coaching ability
- Self-motivation and ability to show initiative
- High accuracy and ability to work under pressure
- Sociable and enjoys being part of a wider team
