Chester
Contract to 31/12/2024 potential to extend

An exciting opportunity to join the Global Collateral Operations & Exchange Traded Derivatives Operations (GCO & ETD Ops) team in Chester. Working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, office based 3 days a week, 2 days working from home, however you will be expected to be fully office based for the first few weeks. The position is contracted until the end of the year, there is the likelihood for extension and potential to be offered on a permanent basis.
The Team:
GCO & ETD Ops are accountable for the exchange of collateral to reduce counterparty credit risk and for the support of post-execution trade clearing and product lifecycle management. Our global team consists of a diverse pool of over 500 individuals spanning 16 cities across 7 countries, providing front-to back assistance for a broad range of Clients, Global Market products and businesses including:
* Futures and Options & OTC Cleared (F&O)
* Prime Brokerage (PB)
* Global Wealth & Investment Management (GWIM)
* OTC Bi-lateral Derivatives (OTC)
You will be working within the ETD Operations Strategy & Clearing Infrastructure Solutions (CIS) team who drives and facilitates the change agenda for Futures and Options and OTC Cleared Operations. The team works with ETD BAU teams based in Chicago, Charlotte, Chester, London and Singapore, other Operations teams, Front Office partners and Technology to deliver Enterprise and Regulatory change programs, new business ideas and operational excellence improvements ensuring cross product and efficient solutions are delivered with no impact to risk or stability.
ETD Operations assists:
* Execution, clearing and allocation of trades and position transfers to the highest quality standards
* Futures and Options position life cycle management including Corporate Action and Credit Event processing, Open Interest reporting and Exercise, Assignment and Deliveries
* Daily Reconciliations and exception resolution, maintaining the integrity of the sub ledger for Listed and OTC Futures and Options product
* Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting to Futures Exchanges and Regulators
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry mandates across 15 Legal Entities
* Production of reports and information needed to comply with regulatory requirements and internal control policies
* Researching and resolving problems within the line of business
* Day-to-day analysis, research, and resolution of varied problems
Daily tasks include:
* Assisting the Head of Strategy & CIS and EMEA based team in maintaining strong governance across a varied and diverse book of change.
* Running meetings with appropriate stakeholders for change projects, including agendas, supporting materials and meeting minutes.
* Providing high quality MI and updates to Executive Stakeholders, including support of Global Market Operations requests for information.
* Become EMEA champion for ETD initiative tracking in Bank of America change management tool ensuring datasets are up to date for latest status.
* Provide ad hoc support across Change book of work
Core Skills:
* A background in financial services, working in a change environment.
* Candidate should be intellectually curious, seeking to understand the impact of change on processes.
* Able to work independently, seeking steer and guidance as and when necessary and with a track record of generating process improvement ideas.
* Confidence working with databases, SharePoint sites, PowerPoint and Excel.
* Confident communicator who can establish relationships and gain credibility quickly across a wide variety of stakeholders.
* Well versed in production of high quality documents used to communicate complex information succinctly to a wide variety of Stakeholders.
* Experience in Operations, Client Services or Finance line role in Financial Services - prior experience of managing change is not essential.
* Experience of Listed Exchange Traded Derivatives Execution or Clearing Operations is desirable but not essential, but candidates should demonstrate an appetite to learn about the product set and related processes.
