Do you have strong attention to detail and a deep-seated understanding of front to back processes within a global market business? Are you looking for a role that leverages your understanding of the product and brings you client interaction from an onboarding and relationship development angle?

By joining Citi’s Transition Management team, you will primarily be responsible for project managing the onboarding of both existing client relationship growth, as well as new clients onto the Prime Finance/FDC Platform.  Members of the Transition Management team must have a deep understanding of product and the clients they cover, be capable of issue-spotting and problem-solving, and committed to delivering a superior client experience.

This role is extremely varied in its day to day, so you will be expected to be able to multitask and prioritise your time across client engagement, management of the client onboarding lifecycle, internal stakeholder management, ensuring onboarding milestones are met as well as being aware of any potential issues that arise and how to resolve them is a timely manner.

What you will do will be varied day to day, but the key drivers for the role are:

The Transition Management team is responsible for driving overall onboarding efficiency and ensuring clients are on-boarded in an operationally efficient manner.

  • Providing best in class Transition Management focused on our Prime Finance and FDC business, driving continuous enhancement of Citi products and services and partnering with support groups and client to ensure Citi is a top 3 provider.

  • Rapid identification and escalation of any “bottleneck” issues our clients face that may impede onboarding effort with Citi.

  • Initial outreach and ongoing client dialogue from initiation to successful completion of a variety of projects delivering a superior client experience.

  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you.

  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

You will also be required to obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe.

What we will need from you:

  • You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of previous, client-facing, middle office or operations financial services experience with a strong cross-product knowledge covering futures, equities, fixed income, foreign exchange and swaps.

  • You will have a strong understanding of hedge fund strategies including equity long/short, risk arbitrage, convertible arbitrage, event-driven, global macro, merger arbitrage and distressed.

  • Strong knowledge around the future & options products, working with the various exchanges to stay ahead of the curve with future product roll outs, developments and how these can benefit client portfolios.

  • Given the nature of the role, you will need to be able to show where you have been able to multitask and constantly assess and change priorities in line with the demands of the business and client base.

  • As a client facing representative of Citi, you should have experience of communicate effectively with clients, understand and being able to internally relay their concerns, and /or requirements and maintain attention to detail and the commitment to deliver an excellent service to a demanding global client base.

  • We would want you to be a self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and a strong wish for continued learning.
