Transport Administrator
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join an established builder's merchant in Andover. This is a full time, permanent position and our client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to join their team.
Responsibilities as a Transport Administrator:
- Ensuring all routing is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensuring timely deliveries of stock to customers and replenishment of depots to an accuracy of 99% on time in full.
- Ensure that any materials delivered late, or customer back-orders are chased and followed up until received.
- Assist the Warehouse team and Transport Manager as and when necessary.
- Assist in some warehouse duties which may including printing and picking tickets and assisting with picking and packing
- Arrange for goods to be sent out via external couriers
- Liaise with the warehouse team in regards to shipping and returning of goods.
Requirments:
- Experience within the transport industry
- Knowledge of Descartes Routing software preferable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to making effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
Our client is offering a salary of 27,000 - 30,000 depending on experience. Working hours are Monday to Friday 12pm - 9pm.
