Join our vibrant office in Portsmouth as a Transport Coordinator, where you will play a crucial role in the transport of vehicles, primarily coordinating trade plate drivers for the delivery of commercial and trade vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and self-motivated individual to become part of our small but busy transport office team.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist the Transport Manager with administration, communication, and customer liaison.
- Manage job bookings and administration from creation to completion.
- Handle customer enquiries on the phone and via email with a high level of customer service.
- Oversee transport administration and respond to driver queries and assistance.
- Address real-time issues, such as arranging breakdown recovery, and make quick decisions in problem-solving.
- Take control and manage drivers when needed, ensuring smooth operations.
- Experience within the Transport industry and knowledge of transport regulation is desirable.
- Knowledge of the UK road system or the ability to learn quickly.
- Highly motivated, organised, and resilient.
- Demonstrable high level of customer service skills.
- Ability to deal with stressful situations and make quick decisions.
- Familiarity with spreadsheets and working with an online portal system.
- Familiarity with Apple Mac and OSX operating systems.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
