Position Title: Transport Administrator (Temp to Perm)
Location: Crawley
Pay: 11.44ph
Hours: 07:00 – 17:00 (within these hours)
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist in planning and coordinating transportation schedules.
– Prepare and maintain transportation documents, including delivery notes, invoices, and shipping records.
– Manage and update transportation databases and systems.
– Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and vendors.
– Address and resolve any transportation–related issues or complaints promptly.
– Provide regular updates to customers on delivery statuses.
– Demonstrate excellent phone communication skills to ensure clear and effective interactions.
– Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including deliveries, pickups, and fuel usage.
– Generate and analyse reports to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
– Ensure all transportation activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
– Assist in promoting and enforcing safety standards and practices among drivers and staff.
– Maintain records related to vehicle maintenance and inspections.
– Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation operations.
– Use technology and software solutions to streamline administrative tasks and record–keeping.
Experience:
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within transportation or logistics.
– Experience with transportation management software is an asset.
– Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software.
– Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights.
– Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accurate records and schedules.
– Must be good on the phone, with strong verbal communication skills.
