Transport Administrator

A local Distribution site near Carlisle, is now needing additional support within their transport office.
As the Logistics and Transport Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the supply chain. You will be responsible for coordinating transportation, managing inventory, and optimising logistics processes to meet the needs of valuable customers and clients throughout the UK. The ideal candidate will have an administration background, the transport side of the role will have training provided. Due to the site location, your own transport is essential.
The role:
- Direct communication with customers via telephone and email enquiries.
- Converting enquiries to bookings.
- Ensuring all bookings are placed correctly onto the internal system.
- Follow through all client requests and bookings right through to distribution stage with the aid of your colleagues.
- Oversee the order fulfilment process, from order receipt to delivery, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to streamline order picking and packing processes, and all stock control on shift.
General office & administration duties.

This role is fast paced at times and requires attention to detail.
Someone who likes to be organised and can multi-task would be ideal!
Brilliant customer service skills.
Competent computer experience.
Full training on all systems and processes will be provided.

Hours & Salary:
Shift Patterns: 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am
Rotational weekly team rota: 4 on, 4 off.
Days and Nights will be required.
24,150 per annum.
