GBR Recruitment Ltd are working exclusively with a well-established & highly progressive Chilled Food Transport client, recruiting for a Part TimeTransport Compliance Administrator (24 hours per week, flexibility with which days these are worked, therefore could suit someone needing work around school hours).
This key administration / business support role ensures this 3PL Haulier is in total compliance with the rules & regulations of regulatory agencies, plus that all company policies and procedures are being always adhered to.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative tasks related to compliance audits & inspections (of documentation, processes & working practices), to ensure adherence to transport regulations & road safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all transport activities, including driver licenses, vehicle maintenance logs, drivers' hours, & insurance certificates.
- Produce reports & upload transport data.
- Respond to queries from customers & sub-contractors, regarding transport operations.
- Stay updated on all changes to transport regulations & ensure the business implements the necessary updates to company policies.
- Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability & risk.
- Report any compliance concerns.
- Respond to violations of compliance rules, regulations, policies & company procedures.
- Ensure vehicles & Drivers are compliant with current driving laws & legislation.
- Ensure all drivers licences are current & applicable to the category they require.
- Ensure all tachograph records are downloaded & analysed by the company.
- Arrange inspections, servicing & MOTS for the HGV fleet of Tractor Units & Trailers
- Update internal records (new vehicles, new drivers, change of driver, vehicle disposal, costs centre, MOT, RFL, VOR etc.)
- Vehicle accident / vehicle damage investigation.
- Maintaining the fleet of vehicles files / documents.
- Manage & provide documentation for all accreditations.
Skills / Experience:
- Transport Compliance Administration experience is ideal (Strong Administrator).
- Up to date knowledge of Transport / Road Haulage compliance & legislation is ideal.
- Chilled or Frozen Food Haulage experience is ideal.
- Strong in Excel, Word & Microsoft Outlook software.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task / prioritise.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
The client is open to discussing various options in terms of the days of work & hours worked (start to finish), with the only day being a must being a Friday, the rest of the 24 hours can be made up anyhow, as long as it meets the businesses needs to. You may wish to work 3 full days or spread it across 5 days or even 7 days as it is a 24/7 operation (totally negotiable).
Ideally you will have worked as:Transport Compliance Officer, Compliance Clerk, Compliance Administrator, Traffic Clerk, Transport Clerk, Transport Officer, Transport Planner, Traffic Planner, Transport Office Administrator, Despatch Clerk, Inbound Clerk, Transport Coordinator, Traffic Coordinator or similar.
