We are looking to recruit 3 x Transport Operators to join the team at our busy Toyota Site in Derby. This is an exciting opportunity for an established Traffic Operator, but we are also willing to consider candidates with less experience who have bags of enthusiasm with a desire to learn.
The role offers a salary of £27,720 per annum based on working on a weekly rotating shift pattern of 5:00-14:00, 13:00-22:00, 21:00-6:00, although the start times may change slightly at the request of the client.

The role:

• Co-ordinate customer deliveries and liaise with drivers in a prompt and efficient manner, ensuring that customer requests are achieved
• Ensure that any issues with meeting expectations are communicated directly to the transport supervisor.
• 100 % driver pre-brief and debrief to record all abnormalities and check all paperwork is correctly updated
• Ensuring that professional and effective communication is always maintained.
• Ensure any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to your line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity
• Ensure all health and safety and transport mandatory procedures are adhered to, both for employees and visitors, including PPE, and escalating any concerns to your line manager at the earliest opportunity
• Actively supporting in in audit work and monitoring KPI’s

About you:
To be considered for the role of Traffic Operator, you will:

• Have an enthusiastic attitude and real desire to learn
• Have a good standard of general education to include numeracy and literacy
• Have a good understanding of transport procedures including WTD (Working Time Directive) and EU Driver regulations
• Have the ability to withstand pressure and work to tight deadlines
• Be flexible to the needs of the business and be able to work on a different shift pattern if necessary
• Possess excellent communication and Customer Service skills
• Have good organisation skills and ability to prioritise
• Have a good understanding of IT - Outlook, Excel, and word
• Be a team player who is able to use initiative and share ideas to improve efficiency
