We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As part of our growing family at an established international courier company, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
Position:Transport Coordinator
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £33,000
Hours: 40 hours weekly allocated in 5 daily shifts from Monday to Saturday. Earliest shift start is 5am and latest shift end time is 11pm (MUST be available for all shift patterns)
Annual Leave: 20 days + UK public holidays
Responsibilities:
- Receive and plan orders from customers.
- Ensure adherence to all SOPs and security protocols by staff under your supervision (including drivers/security guards).
- Maintain effective communication with customers to provide shipment updates.
- Troubleshoot issues such as traffic, vehicle breakdowns, and operational delays.
- Collaborate with senior management on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Update and maintain documentation on Transport Management Systems.
- Coordinate with other brand stations and overseas partners.
- Assist the stock controller in preparing orders for next-day delivery.
Competencies/Personal Requirements/Experience
- Preferable experience in Transport and/or Logistics.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and across diverse groups.
- Ability to foster and maintain relationships internally and externally.
- Aptitude for understanding and addressing business and customer needs.
- Proficiency in general IT skills and MS Office.
- Capacity to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, occasionally remotely, and outside of regular office hours.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to undergo thorough background checks due to the high-value cargo we handle.
