Transport Engineer - Local Traffic Improvement and Project Delivery Teams
Waverley Court and Bankhead Depot (2 Posts)
Salary: £36,312 - £42,717
Hours: 36 per week
An opportunity has arisen for two Transport Engineers:
One post is in the Council’s Local Traffic Improvement team developing concepts and outline design solutions to mitigate traffic or mobility challenges for our local communities.
The second is in our Transport Project Delivery team that works closely with our Road Safety and Local Traffic teams. This post holder will play a key role in the successful design, procurement and delivery of a broad range of transport improvement projects.
We are seeking two highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic individuals to undertake these challenging but rewarding roles.
The post holders are likely to be involved in various transport projects across the City including the following:
• Pedestrian crossing improvements
• Delivery of Accident Investigation and Prevention projects
• Speed limit reductions
• Speed reduction measures
• Improved school travel infrastructure
• Projects to improve accessibility/reduce the impact of traffic on local communities
You should hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification. Experience in engaging with stakeholders, developing solutions or design and procurement of small to medium sized transport projects would be an advantage (c. £50k to £300k).
The team undertakes hybrid working, across various office locations.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
