We are working with a small but successful family owned business who are now expanding and require a Senior Transport & Logistics Administratorto support their operation. This organisation provides ethical and safe recycling of waste plastic and works with both national and international partners. There are long term career opportunities available as the business grows e.g. Managing other staff or moving into a commercial role if desired. This company is doing fantastically well in a very lucrative market and they need extra support to take them to a new level.
In this busy role as Senior Transport & Logistics Administrator you will be:
- Preparing shipping and transport documents for all the plastic loads to be delivered in a compliant manner
- Booking transport and shipments directly with hauliers, customers and suppliers in a timely and cost efficient way
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing e-mails and keeping on top of correspondence
- Managing and maintaining accurate documents and spreadsheets e.g. invoices, customer documents, photographs of plastic loads for inspection etc.
- Managing the diary for the sales manager so that travel is efficient and makes best use of time
- Scheduling meetings, taking minutes
- Speaking to customers and suppliers to answer queries and resolve issues
To be successful in this role of Senior Transport & Logistics Administrator you will have:
- Solid administration experience ideally in a similar role but this is not essential
- Good customer service skills
- Excellent organisational and logistics experience
- Attention to detail
- Professional telephone manner
- High level of proficiency in the use of IT packages e.g. MS Office etc
- A flexible attitude to work and ability to work under pressure
- Passion for making a difference to your environment in a commercial setting
- Happy to work in a small team both remotely and in person (3 people)
