GXO is currently seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Transport Operations Manager. Working in a fast-paced, transport, multi-user site, you will experience a blend of first line operational tasks and hands on project involvement. Ensuring compliance of the companies O’Licence obligations are adhered to and all customer expectations are met both internally and externally.
The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00, although flexibility will be required during peak times – this is logistics after all!

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Provide leadership to direct reports and ensure all operational procedures and processes are adhered to ensuring the effective flow of goods into, through and out of the site and safe onward transportation to their final point of delivery
- Oversee internal communication networks, which will include team briefs, management meetings, staff notices and communication zones
- Adherence to all internal HR policies, procedures and practices that encourage and foster the desired relationships with all employees, ensuring that operational reports take the necessary action to address poor performance or non-compliance
- Ensure O’Licence obligations are met
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the transportation or logistics industry
- International CPC preffered, National CPC essential
- Experience in project management and leading projects
- Strong knowledge of transportation operations, safety regulations, and legal compliance
- Problem solving skills and the ability to manage challenge
