Transport Manager – Luton Airport – full-time – permanent - £30,000 - £34,000 per annum

There is currently an opportunity available working for APCOA Parking at Luton Airport for a Transport Manager. This role is a really important addition to the team. You will focus primarily on monitoring and managing the day-to-day operations of the airport’s transport whilst working with internal mangers on a daily basis.

What you'll do:
- Ensure the transport operation meets its performance and safety targets, monitoring and reporting to senior management.
- Ensure that the transport operation, including fleet of vehicles and staff are compliant with all UK legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Ensure resourcing levels are always maintained to the required level, this will include recruiting, scheduling, managing annual leave and absences.
- Lead in the resolution of unforeseen issues as they arise and develop plans and strategies to minimise future problems.
- Produce clear and concise reports for APCOA clients and senior management and develop recommendations for operational improvements.
- Manage and record any reports of customer complaints and areas of concern ensuring they are investigated thoroughly following Apcoa company policy.
- Work with senior management in the managing of the transport contract, new business prospecting and budgetary controls.
- Liaising and negotiating with varying stakeholders, authorities, developers, and other transport providers where necessary.
- Liaising with passenger watchdogs and other professional bodies.
What you'll bring:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience in similar managerial role including supervision of staff, managing costs and data collection.
- Must be able to work under pressure, and an effective problem solver.
- Flexible to cover operation as workload demands.
- Full UK driving licence.
