GBP35k - GBP40k Plymouth Office Based
Our Client, A retail distribution company based in Plymouth is seeking a Transport Manager to use their Management and Logistics expertise to lead and manage a team of staff in their regional distribution centre.
The role is based in the Plymouth office and offers 35 hours per week Monday - Friday.
Transport Manager responsibilities include: -
- Plan, manage and control all transport operations to maximise performance
- Ensure communications with customers are dealt with in a proactive manner
- Management of drivers and support staff
- Aware of changes in legislation connected to transport
- Work closely with the FTA
- Liaise closely with other teams to ensure the efficiency of deliveries
Transport Manager requirements include: -
- You must hold a CPC Management Qualification
- Proven expertise in Health and Safety and Compliance in a Transport environment
- Previous experience managing a team
- A logical thinker with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Experienced in Microsoft Office
- Great planning and organisational skills
