The Opportunity
We now have an excellent opportunity for a Transport Manager to join our Sivyer division. Based in the heart of London, Sivyer supply construction materials across the capital and you’ll play a key part in ensuring that our logistics operations are carried out in a safe and compliant way. Reporting directly into the MD, Rob Walsh you’ll be supported by our senior team onsite to develop and progress your career.
Across the six Sivyer sites in South East London, our main depot being at Morden Wharf you’ll;
Help drive a safety first culture into all areas of transport operations.
You’ll oversee a large fleet of 150+ vehicles, proactively maximising the fleet and haulier availability, while increasing vehicle utilisation.
You’ll be accountable for the safety, compliance and legal aspect of the fleet ensuring we are compliant with all Operator licence regulations, DVSA and FORS industry standards.
You’ll conduct investigations into all incidents and near misses as well as infringements, finding the route cause and implementing solutions to reduce the risk of reoccurrence.
Who you are
You’ll be CPC certified as a Transport Manager
Our Morden Wharf, SE10 0PA depot is a busy site and we’ll need your presence here. So, you’ll need to be commutable to this site Monday-Friday.
You’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to help build relationships across all of our teams.
You’ll have experience working in transport management for HGV Class 1 or 2 vehicles.
You’ll be willing to challenge convention and help drive new ideas.
