Job description

We are currently seeking a Transport and Operations Administrator to join a dynamic and lively office team in Hatfield. This is a temporary position that is available immediately, and we are looking for a candidate who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

What you need to know about the job:

  • Work Pattern: 4 on 4 off pattern (company is operational 7 days a week)
  • Working Hours: 6am - 6pm
  • Salary: £25,000 per year
  • Easily accessible from Hatfield train station for non-drivers and free parking for drivers
  • Weekly pay
  • Start ASAP
  • Minimum 3 months

Job Responsibilities:

  • Updating customer orders and ensuring that all details are accurate
  • Logging courier delivery times and tracking delivery progress
  • Liaising with couriers and business customers over the phone to resolve queries
  • Closing down jobs on the system and ensuring that all necessary information is entered
  • Performing data entry tasks and maintaining accurate records
  • Assisting with general administrative tasks as needed

What skills do you need for this job?

  • Previous administration and/or office based customer service experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Excellent data entry skills and experience with computer systems
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
