The role
- Work with other teams in finance and non-finance functions to ensure the regular production and analysis of accurate and timely divisional financial and analytical reporting.
- Coordinate month-end processes and timetable working with suppliers of information to ensure deadlines are met.
- Report, analyze, and explain performance against Plan and Forecasts, ensuring explanations and supporting analysis are accurate and controlled and that any interlinked variances are consistent. Highlight any issues impacting on cashflow.
- Report and analyze margin performance, liaising with the Treasury team to ensure funding is drawn and recorded correctly.
- Oversee divisional costs ensuring a thorough understanding of the allocations included.
The Person
- Experience of working in a deadline-driven financial reporting environment.
- Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) – exams and experience complete.
- Possess knowledge of management and financial accounting principles and be well-versed in approaches and techniques.
- Strong IT capabilities, detailed knowledge of the main Microsoft applications including excellent excel knowledge (lookups, pivot tables, formulae etc)
- Experience of organisation, reconciliation, and analysis of large volumes of data
