Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner with expertise in logistics, groupage, and domestic transportation. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in orchestrating transportation operations, ensuring timely deliveries, and optimising route efficiency
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate transportation activities, including groupage and domestic shipments
- Optimise route planning to minimise costs and maximise efficiency
- Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
- Analyse transportation data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance
- Lead and mentor junior members of the transportation team.
This role is temporary 3-6 months however could lead into a full time position for the right candidate
Working Monday-Friday start time is 08:00 or 09:00 paying between £14.50-£16.00 per hour weekly pay 40 hours per week
