salary up to: £30k+ free car park + company laptop
Our client within the Logistics/Distribution industry is seeking a permanent Transport Planner based in Leicester.
Key Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for customers and drivers
- Prioritising and modifying drivers routes as and when needed with good form of communication via telephone/emails/SMS
- Managing multiple accounts
- Data inputting information
- Efficient planning to maximise load fill and delivery slots
- Booking deliveries with customers
- Working with other departments within the business
Ideally you will have:
- Cements, tarmac, aggregate or similar industry experience (not essential)
- Good understanding of driver WTD and driving legislation's
- Knowledge of time deliveries
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- IT Literate
- Attention to detail and ability to problem solve
- Previous working background in transport planning/scheduling or similar
