Transport Planner - Northwich - Permanent Role - 1 Year Experience Required
Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 PA
Shift: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:30
Silver Arrow has a vacancy for a Transport Planner with a reputable, innovative transport & logistics group based in Northwich.
A transport manager CPC qualification is preferable, though not essential for the candidate with the right attributes.

Your Role:
* Planning and allocation of nationwide automotive, plant and agricultural machinery deliveries.
* Ensuring that the operation complies with all regulatory legislation and best practices.
* Ensuring consistently reliable driver behaviour concerning safety, legality, efficiency and profitability.
* Managing day-to-day issues of the remote driver workforce, including welfare and pastoral matters.
* Attending Customer conference calls and meetings where required.
* Dynamic evaluation of operational decisions that are likely to affect group performance and customer experience.
* Daily liaison with line managers to identify operational exceptions and implement solutions.
* Balancing own fleet use and sub-contraction.
* Minimising fleet empty running.
In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to a diverse Customer base. The ability to think laterally and make sound decisions will be essential. Additionally, you'll need the aptitude to develop a detailed understanding of the operation and the specific characteristics of the broader sector.
