Description

• Organising and planning transport routes to ensure timely deliveries
• Monitoring transportation costs to maintain cost-effectiveness
• Liaising with clients and drivers to ensure smooth operations
• Coordinating with the logistics team to resolve any transport-related issues
• Assisting in the training of new staff in the logistics department
• Booking accommodation and making other travel arrangements for technicians and drivers
• Preparing transport-related reports for management review
• Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in the logistics department

Profile

A successful Transport Planner should have:

• Proficiency in using transport management systems
• Knowledge of Transport and Driving Compliance including WTD etc
• Excellent organisational and planning skills
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the logistics industry
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Able to work shifts covering both days and nights
