About the Team:
You’ll be joining a dynamic, sector leading team responsible for devising and delivering a range of ambitious infrastructure and behaviour change programmes. We develop ground breaking policy, such as the Lambeth Kerbside Strategy, and have a clear focus on delivering equitable, sustainable outcomes. We are a sociable, creative team with a strong work ethic. We care about our staff and their well-being and offer plenty of scope for personal development.
About the Role:
You will focus on ensuring new development in Lambeth delivers the best possible outcomes that support our vision of neighbourhoods that are fit for the future. This entails the investigation of traffic and transport impacts of planning proposals in the borough; ensuring compliance with local, regional and national planning and transport policies; that there is no adverse safety or traffic impact; and that the Council’s carbon reduction and regeneration aims are supported. You will also play a leading role in the development and agreement of new planning and related transport policies.
