We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy Transport department based in our Lesmahagow out base as a Transport Supervisor. Working pattern 4-on-4 off shifts on Nights.
How you will spend your time:
- Ensure all colleagues comply with H&S policies
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are made on time and are compliant with procedures
- Daily licence checks ensuring drivers adhere to Road transport legislation
- Ensure all fleet resources are available and on time and all delays and incidents are recorded
- To build and maintain a strong partnership with the transport functions and drivers to ensure regular communication is delivered
- To monitor performance of all colleagues and address any shortfalls with your line manager
- Ensure all drivers comply with driver hour regulations when reporting for duty
- Daily download of driver digi-cards to be conducted
- To support and encourage the development of colleagues
- Ensure that all aspects of administration within the department are kept up to date
- Report all accidents and incidents and follow up as required
- Ensure that the fleet is made available for service and MOT as required and kept in a clean and tidy condition
- Ensure that all defects are raised and cleared in an effective manner
- Oversee day to day tasks and deal with issues in an efficient manner
